This is a fun little game with two notable problems.Metagal is a Mega Man homage and unashamed of it. It is a 2d run and gun platformer with a health bar, boss gates, stage select and the other trappings you find in any good game staring a blue robot. Little new ground has been broken but the engine feels more like a late GBA game than the familar NES classics and fangames.The visuals, sound, and controls all meet expectations. The backgrounds are rich and vibrant while enemy designs are consistent and charming. The songs have strong melodies and good instrumentation. The controls are responsive and tight. Sometimes the shots can feel a bit delayed but it seems to be more a matter of projectile speed and animation than input delay.The game has two significant failings: text and dash.Text- The developers clearly do not use english as their first language -and I support game development all over the world- but if they want to market the game as professionals they need to hire an editor to check their spelling and grammar. Thankfully the story is not the main attraction of the game and the tutorial conveys enough meaning to teach you.Dash- To dash in the game tou need to double-tap forward. There is no other option. No ability to bind to a button. No ability to bind down + jump. Every controller that supports this game has enough buttons to bind an additional but the option is absent. Some may find this to be inconsequential but I see it as a clumsy barrier tangling gameplay. (EDIT: they are already working on the dash button patch)All things considered it is still a functional and cheap game that should be worth picking up if you are a mega fan running out of fangames.. It's alright but needs some sound effect revisions. Some levels have weird design but the price matches the game content fairly. I found myself able to understand the stages after only making just a few mistakes. My only real gripe is the hitboxes on some explosions reminding me of dying to smoke clouds in bomberman. bad control. This isn't really a review, more to spread awareness that could aid people in this game.If you put the game in keyboard, you could probably get the controls you want with joy to key program. There ya go, make the dash button into something else. Will be posted in general as wel.. Megaman clone with decent design for the low price. There are some flaws right now, but the devs are working to repair them even as I type this. Check it out if you're a fan of old MM games. [Analog Control]Unlike Direction pad player unable to perform dash by double tap but still able to perform by Dash button.[Increase Gear Drop]We aso increase drop rate of gear from enemies for little bit.[Other] We heard people start complain about input lag which make me surprise how it possible personally I didn't feel the have such problem at all however I assume input lag feeling come from "Failing to perform Long jump" and my friend now working to see how we can improve it. but if you have problem about input lag on other function but long jump we not grantee that we can fix it.Thank to everyone who support the game. :).
